Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the official release, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

- Survey Corps steed
Newest Free Story Content
This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
